How to kill your PC mouse? Does it sounds weird to you? May be it is, but that's what the chrome extension DeadMouse does for us. It is a fun way to kill you mouse. Suppose you want to navigate through the web page links without using a mouse, how you gonna do this?

DeadMouse is a unique Chrome extension that enables you to type any keyword you wish to explore. It is actually detects the typed keyword and searches it on the active page in Chrome. As soon as a match occurs, the respective link text starts wiggling. Hit ENTER and you're good to go. It also include the features like fuzzy-matching on link text, Shift+Enter hotkey to open a new tab. In case of multiple matching occurs on page you can use TAB key to cycle through it.

DeadMouse is a Chrome extension available, free of cost. It tracks your activity online and then uses that information to make life easier for you. If it doesn’t work, try restarting Google Chrome and in case of failure, go to the Extensions option in the Tools menu of the browser to enable the app. Consider yourself in a situation where the system mouse is not working, DeadMouse presents a quick solution. Moreover, this particular app is useful in a multi-monitor setup where you require instant access to an active window.

How to use it?


Once the webpage loads, type a keyword and the relevant link with the matching results starts to wiggle. (For example, type 'Oracle' or just the letter 'o'&'r' in the context of the snapshot and the link starts dancing. Checkout the snapshot below.) As soon as the match occur press 'Enter', the link will open in the same window. To open the respective link in a new tab, use the Shift+Enter key combination. Use 'backspace' or 'esc' key to erase a virtual result and begin typing again. You can go down to page using the usual key Spacebar or the down arrow key. If the extension is unable to find a keyword, it cleans the entered letters from memory paving the way for a new search.
